The 4th Annual Urban Land Institute Housing Summit took place on June 7, 2012 and was a great success. The Summit focused on boomer generation housing on what is next, what are the new preferences, and what should be the new responses. In 2020 there will be 17 million more seniors than today. MSP Housing and Transportation Cost Calculator
The Urban Land Institute recently launched their Housing and Transportation Cost Calculator for the Minneapolis-St. Paul-Bloomington, MN-WI Metropolitan Statistical Area. ULI states: “A user friendly mapping tool will allow users to view and compare costs in neighborhoods. The calculator is specifically designed to explore various housing and transportation choices and the overall financial impact of living closer to or farther from work. Healthy Homes and Communities Statewide Convening
Alliance for Healthy Homes & Communities Statewide Convening is happening Thursday, June 28, 2012 from 9 a.m. to 4p.m. at the University of St. Thomas. This event bring will bring housing and health professionals, policymakers and funders, and community members together to discuss health and housing issues in order to develop a statewide alliance. The event features keynote speaker, Dr. Anthony Iton of the California Endowment, a number of workshop sessions, and an opportunity to participate in the development of a statewide alliance.
